Hitz 103.7 gets morning makeover

The St.Vincent and the Grenadines Broadcasting Corporation is getting ready to post its Carnival theme, ‘Hitz 103.7- Bringin Da Beats to da streetz’.{{more}}

To kick off this new phase, Hitz 103.7 is offering a fresh approach to its Morning Show during the summer with the launch of ‘Summer Moods of Dr. Fugi’ which is designed to be a radio makeover for morning commuters.

“Carnival festivities are over and so the question arises about what’s next. Though we live in sunshine all year round, there is just something special about July and August that put us in a certain mood!” says SVGBC’s Head of Sales of Marketing Candice Sealey, as Hitz 103.7 gets ready to launch the new initiative.

According to Sealey, at times it may be hard to rise in the morning especially on a Monday or if the journey to work is quite long; be it in a public transportation or your own.

Sealey said Hitz 103.7 is the answer.

“Some persons have to prep themselves to enter the office and as a radio station, we cater to different moods, hence each day of the week we will offer something related to the type of mood an individual maybe in,” said Sealey, noting that persons can use the power of Hitz 103.7’s Morning Show to kick start their day.

Joel ‘Dr. Fugi’ Bibby emphasized that ‘Summer moods of Dr. Fugi’ will incorporate his moods as well as those of listeners. Some of the flagship elements include: humour where comedians will be co-hosting the programme and the public is invited to share their jokes.

He said prizes will be offered for the best ones. Fashionista Wednesdays is also a new concept where summer fashion will be revealed not only as it relates to clothing but also make up, hairstyles, nails, accessories among other things.

Relationship chatter as well as educational issues and light topics relevant to youths will also be at the top of the agenda. Music will also play a pivotal role and summer programming will be in full effect.

Summer Moods with Dr. Fugi is designed to make morning morning commute more bearable and enjoyable.
