The group hopes that this collaborative effort will motivate other groups and individuals to take positive action towards protecting their environment.

The clean up brought to the fore the hard work put in by the workers of the department as it was definitely not an easy task to deal with the varying types and the astonishing quantity of garbage that littered the streets of Kingstown.

The Caribbean Youth Environment Network is a regional organization, with chapters in seventeen Caribbean islands, and is undoubtedly the largest youth organization in the Caribbean. CYEN aims to promote and foster the development of youths in the Caribbean towards taking positive action on issues related to the environment and sustainable development.
