Police reveal identity of bodies found on yacht in Bequia

The names of the two persons who were found dead on a yacht in Bequia on Wednesday, June 23, were released by authorities earlier this week.{{more}}

Police say the bodies have been identified as Carlos Manuel Braganca, 52, and Delphine Gateau, 36, both of France.

SEARCHLIGHT reported last week that an occupant of a nearby yacht saw Braganca hanging from the mast of the boat, while Gateau’s body was found inside the boat at about 5:50am on June 23.

A post mortem examination is expected to be carried out on both bodies.

Police are working on the theory of a murder suicide.

Investigations continue into the matter.
