Dr. Hubert Bruce will receive his doctorate degree in divinity this Sunday, at the New Life Ministry Church in New Grounds.

Bruce was honoured by the Canadian Christian College and is said to be the first Vincentian to be honored by the North American school.

He is expected to be presented with his diploma by former tutor, professor Clinton Ryan of the Birmingham New Testament Church of God.

For the past ten years, the England trained Bruce has been conducting courses at his own institution located in San Souci, from which eight students are expected to graduate on Sunday, which is the 10th ceremony.

Bruce disclosed that one group of students will be receiving their certificates after two years of study, while those completing three years of study will receive their diplomas in Ministry and Theology.

Following the ceremony, Bruce indicated that these graduates will move on to their various churches when they will begin or continue their ministry.

Sunday’s graduation is expected to begin at 3pm.
