NTRC: Karib Cable customers not required to make changes

The National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC) is advising the general public that the recent launch of Karib Cable Digital TV service does not require existing customers of the company basic service package to make any changes to their television equipment or contracts with the company.{{more}}

A release from the NTRC on Wednesday said: “It is not mandatory at this time for customers to upgrade to this new Digital TV service. Existing customers will continue to receive their analogue basic service over the next few months at the existing rates.

“The NTRC is presently in discussions with the company to ensure that the eventual migration of their analogue service to a digital one will have minimal negative implications (financial or otherwise) to customers.”
