Eustace congratulates Kamla Bissessar
Leader of the Opposition, Arnhim Eustace, has extended his congratulations to the new prime minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Kamla Persad Bissessar.{{more}}
In a letter dated May 27, Eustace said: âIt is with considerable pleasure that I again congratulate you on the Peoples Partnershipâs resounding victory at the poll and your assumption of the Office of the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago.â
He mentioned that a few weeks ago, in the Parliament of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, he had congratulated her on her appointment as Opposition Leader in the Trinidad and Tobago parliament.
Eustace also extended fraternal greetings to Bissessar on behalf of the New Democratic Party, of which he is President.
âI bring you fraternal greetings and confidently look forward to cooperation in the interest of our respective countries and the CARICOM region as a whole.â
