On behalf of TaiwanICDF, Chin-Yu Lee, Chief of Taiwan Technical Mission, delivered the opening remarks and stated that tourism has become a ‘non-pollution’ industry in Taiwan and plays a vital role in Taiwan’s economic development.

Minister Beache recalled his visits to Taiwan. He was impressed by the different Made-in-Taiwan products and Taiwan’s efforts in the maintenance of tourism sites. He strongly believes that Taiwan’s valuable experience on Tourism will be a very useful example or practice for SVG tourism development.

Two SVG Tourism officers, Faylene Scrubb and Ezekiel Barrow, were invited to share their Taiwan experiences because they attended the workshops on Tourism held by the TaiwanICDF in the past few years.

The workshop was organized by Taiwanese Volunteer, Henry Lai, who was dispatched by TaiwanICDF and has worked with the Ministry of Tourism since 2008.
