Students host food exhibition

The agriculture programme, which consists of forty six students (the largest intake in the programme ever), encourages the public to eat more local fruits, vegetables and ground provisions.

Agriculture was traditionally one of the country’s main sources of income. Students, parents and well-wishers who came out to view the local dishes on display were urged to grow and buy local, cementing the idea that “once can we grow it, we can cook it.”

The students of the programme are calling on the relevant authorities to invest more in agriculture programs and are appealing to youths to get involved in this sector.

All 46 students are also members of the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines agriculture forum for youths which operates under the theme “Youths in Agriculture, Making a Difference.”

The students use this medium to thank everyone who contributed in a variety of ways to make a success of this venture.
