Vincentian Teacher recognized

Veteran Educator Edna Cottoy was recognized for her outstanding contribution to Education in the Turks and Caicos Islands.{{more}}

The event took place during a ceremony held at the Enid Capron Primary School on March 1, 2010, to mark the commencement of Education Week celebrations.

Cottoy was commended for her work in the field of Education. She was presented a plaque, and the recently constructed school block was named in her honour.

Cottoy migrated to the Turks and Caicos Islands to take up a teaching position at the Pierson High School in South Caicos. She was also employed at the Helena Jones Robinson High School in Grand Turk, the Capital. Later on, Cottoy was transferred at very short notice to take up the leadership position at the Enid Capron.
