The money donated will be used for the purchase of specially designed sporting equipment to meet the needs of physically challenged students.

According to Jenny Wong of the Trinidad and Tobago Alliance for Sporting and Physical Education, the programme is geared towards engaging the students of special education schools in more physical activity.

It is expected to be implemented in schools in Georgetown and Bequia.

The programme has already been piloted in 3 schools in Trinidad, with St Vincent being the first in the region where the programme has been initiated.
