According to a release from the Embassy, Ambassador Lee visited the UIEA “to understand what the UIEA has done to preserve the breathtaking environment in Union Island.”

UIEA’s President Katrina Collins and her colleague Roseman Adams briefed Ambassador LEE regarding the UIEA’s efforts on preserving the endangered Leatherback turtles, promoting coastal clean-up, and introducing the concept of environmental protection to every corner.

Ambassador LEE expressed his admiration for UIEA’s efforts towards environmental conservation and improvement. He emphasized that one important subject of Taiwan’s Foreign Aid Policy concerns the environmental protection.

On handing over the cheque, the Ambassador assured the group that the Embassy will continue to cooperate with SVG’s environmental organizations/groups, such as the UIEA, to protect the magnificent beauty of SVG.
