RJR makes $1,500 donation to Haiti

As part of its continued demonstration of social responsibility, event managers RJR on February 8 handed over a cheque of $1,500 to The Red Cross Society. This cheque is to be used to provide much needed supplies for the people of Haiti, for whom the International Red Cross is acting as a collection and support agency.{{more}}

In handing over the cheque to Red Cross President Bernard Marksman, PRO of RJR Jeremiah Howard reiterated RJR’s commitment to giving back to the community every year, a part of the proceeds of the group’s signature event, J’Ouvert.

“The people of Haiti right now are our brothers and sisters in need,” he said, “and we are pleased, because of the support of our sponsors and patrons, to be able to contribute to this worthy cause.”

Marksman thanked the members of RJR for their contribution and commended the group for its continued demonstration of a strong social conscience.
