Deane to receive award from US Embassy and CXC

A FORMER student of the St. Vincent Grammar School will receive an award from the Embassy of the United States of America and the Caribbean Examinations, Council (CXC) today.

Gregory Tuayev-Deane, who gained 11 passes at Grade One, and one at grade 2 in last year’s CXC CSEC examinations, all at general proficiency, will be presented with $500 USD, a plaque and a certificate.{{more}}

The US Embassy in Bridgetown has joined forces with the CXC to reward the students with the most outstanding CSEC results in seven Eastern Caribbean islands to which the Embassy is accredited.

The St. Vincent Grammar School will also receive a set of 49 American literature books from the Embassy.

The presentation will take place today, Friday, February 5, at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College, at 1:00 p.m.
