STAC contributes to Haiti
More Vincentians are reaching out to the victims of the earthquake which shook Haiti last week. This time, the contribution has come from the Street Tuners Auto Club (STAC).{{more}}
$3,500 was raised by way of contributions from members of the business community and collections from club members.
Money was also raised with the staging of a car wash which was held last Saturday, January 16.
âWe saw that there was a need for supplies and or money and so we decided to turn one of our events into a charitable one,â Jason Moussa, President of STAC said.
The idea was conceptualized last week Thursday. Items were purchased on the following day and on Saturday, together with assistance from Hype entertainment, the event was staged.
The donation was then deposited into the account at the Bank of Nova Scotia, which was set up by the local branch of the International Red Cross Society.
