Police Public Relations Department celebrating 11 years of existence
The Public Relations & Complaints Department of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force is celebrating its 11th year of existence.{{more}}
The Department was established on January 4, 1999, with the main aim of fostering and enhancing relations with the general public and media.
Over the years the Department has introduced and spearheaded a number of community outreach, radio and television programmes and assisted in the establishment of a number of Neighbourhood Watch Schemes.
Media houses continue to access more readily and accurately information on Crime, Traffic issues and other activities handled by the Police Force on a daily basis.
Current head of the Public Relations and Complaints Department, Inspector Jonathan Nicholls, says that this staff has also been working in collaboration with the Human Resource Department, the Police Band and other Branches to strengthen internal relations in the organization, through local courses, workshops, lectures and entertainment.
Meanwhile, the Department extends appreciation to the general public for its valuable support over the years.
Congratulations are also extended to former head of the Branch, Superintendents Artis Davis and Brinsley Ballantyne on attaining thirty-three years of service in the Police Force.
