These events are part of a range of year-long activities organized by the diocese, which came into being on January, 22nd 1990, when the Most Reverend Robert Rivas was ordained at the Victoria Park in Kingstown.

Before this, the Catholic community of St. Vincent and the Grenadines was joined to that of Barbados and was referred to as the Diocese of Bridgetown-Kingstown, under the teaching authority of Bishop Anthony Dickson.

Beginning on the weekend of January 23rd, the Catholic community will, apart from prayer and praise, be involved in worship and pastoral planning.

The weekend is expected to end with a concert extravaganza.

Other activities include a week-long Bible school from April 26th to 30th, a boat ride pilgrimage to the southern Grenadines and a faith formation youth camp.
