SVGBC launches its 2009 Christmas promo

There is only one guaranteed way to win a prize in the 2009 St. Vincent and the Grenadines Broadcasting Corporation Christmas Promotions.{{more}}

And, according to head of Sales and Marketing at the multimedia company Candice Sealy, it is to keep radio dials to HITZ 103.7 and EZEE Radio.

Sealy, speaking at the corporation’s press conference on Monday, heralding this year’s promotions dubbed “Door to Your Destiny”, said that airwaves will be opened for callers at random times from December 7 to 19.

Flanked by representatives of some of the sponsors, Sealy announced a grand prize she described as the “Mecca of Promotions”, which includes a trip to a Caribbean destination, food and products vouchers, a phone, television, a mountain bike and, of course, cash.

Daily callers can win prizes ranging from hampers, day tours, phones, mp3 players, massages to gift vouchers, polo shirts, toaster ovens and blenders, among other things.

In order to win, callers will choose from three doors; if lucky, they automatically win whatever is behind that door.

In some cases, there will be no prizes behind a door.

Sealy indicated that winning and non-winning callers will be entered in the December 21 grand prize draw, in which three names will be randomly selected for the finals which takes place at Fine Things in Arnos Vale.

Sponsors present at the press conference (representatives of Lulley’s fishing and Tackle Supplies, Cap & L, Missed Call Tech and Fine Things) applauded the promotion as a brilliant initiative, with Fine Things Proprietor Glender Francois indicating that shoppers at her establishment spending over a certain amount will be automatically entered in the grand prize draw.

Sealy announced that a number of other promotions will also take place during the company’s Christmas season, which begins next Monday, November 30.

This includes Christmas Cook-Up from December 7 to 24, which features food and drink recipes live on radio and television, and Christmas Shopping Tips, with listeners calling in and sharing gift and decorating ideas.

Sealy said that both radio stations have adopted themes for the Christmas season. for HITZ 103.7, it’s “We Play The Music, You Experience The Magic”, while for EZEE Radio, it’s “We Are Christmas”.
