Vincentian designer in premier fashion show

Vincentian fashion designer Shernicia Mayers, who produces the clothing line “Shernicia’s”, will be participating in St Lucia’s premier fashion show, “Fashion meets the Street”, this weekend.{{more}}

Mayers, who is only 22, is already recognised as one of this country’s top fashion designers. She was voted St. Vincent and the Grenadines Upcoming Designer of the Year in 2009.

She has also participated in numerous fashion shows, including NOLCHA Fashion Week in New York and Fashion Caribbean. Mayers will be releasing her latest collection of women’s and men’s wear, titled “Celebrations” at this weekend’s show in St Lucia.

The collection is designed to commemorate St Vincent and the Grenadines 30 years of Independence.

“Fashion meets the Street” will take place in Castries, St Lucia, on Sunday, November 15, 2009.
