On Monday, Marketing Executive Edmund Joachim handed over a sponsorship cheque to promoters of the event Kenton Ollivierre and Romaine Reid of Rock Entertainment, the promoters of Can Fest.

Accepting the cheque from Joachim, Ollivierre said that Rock Entertainment is “always happy to work along with Digicel as they are a good corporate entity”.

Ollivierre described Freedom Concert as “a cultural event that will pay tribute to freedom fighters whether locally, regionally or internationally”.

Meanwhile, Reid spoke of a new dance group called ‘The Rock Squad’ that is expected to introduce St. Vincent and the Grenadines to a new dance called “The Freedom Dance”, a dance Reid said was created exclusively for the show.

“We are glad to work along with Digicel to entertain the Vincentian public during the country’s 3oth anniversary celebrations,” said Reid.

Thanks to Digicel, the show will feature a VIP Section with complimentary drinks, food and interaction, with the artistes. Among the local performers on the night of the show are Abuza, Yafatu, Madzart and the Mad Syphony, DJ Pitt Bull, Mad Squad and Foundation Sounds.

Joachim commented that Digicel is always happy to be a part of “positive things”.
