Apostolic Faith Mission wins Bible Festival quiz

The first ever SVG Bible Festival concluded on Sunday, October 18, with the Finals of the quiz competition at Faith Temple, New Montrose.{{more}}

The four finalists came from a field of ten churches in the preliminaries held at the same venue on October 9.

The finalists were Apostolic faith Mission, Bequia, represented by Desika Compton, Roland Ollivierre and Shirlon Ragguette; Bethel Gospel Assembly, Georgetown

represented by Chavela John, Curlene Mc Barnette and Rohan Forbes; Kingdom Life Tabernacle, Mespotamia represented by Samantha Diamond, Raju Matthews and Pembroke Pentecostal represented by Juliana Williams.

The Apostolic Faith Mission emerged champions with 40 points, Kingdom Life Tabernacle 2nd (25 points) winning a tie breaker against Bethel Gospel Assembly (25 points). The most outstanding participant was Shirlon Raggguette of the Apostolic Faith Mission.

The Bible Festival was held under the theme: “Wisdom through the Word. This festival was the first of its kind to be held in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and is another initiative the SVG Gospel Festival Committee.

Officials of the SVG Gospel Fest Committee and several church leaders have expressed their satisfaction with this year’s event and wish to make it an annual event.
