Guides visit Thompson Home

On Saturday, October 2nd, 2009, the # 16 Thomas Saunders’ Girl Guides company, along with their guide leader La Rissa John, visited the Thompson Home in Kingstown (a home for the elderly), as part of their year’s programme and also in partial fulfillment of their service badge.{{more}} While at the home, the girls interacted with the patients, sang songs and one guide even braided a resident’s hair. After interacting with the inmates, the guides then donated a fruit basket to the home. The caretakers and inmates alike embraced the visit and expressed their gratitude and desire for the guides to return to the home soon.
