Foreign Languages Exhibition coming
The Ministry of Education is partnering with the Association of Teachers of Foreign Languages to host a National Exhibition for students in primary and secondary schools.{{more}}
The theme of the exhibition is: âCelebrating Many Nations, Many Languages, Many Cultures, One World.â
This Exhibition aims to showcase some of the benefits in Foreign Language Teaching and Learning in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Schools will present aspects from countries of the target language.
The Exhibition will be held from Tuesday, 20th October, to Wednesday, 21st October, 2009, at the Girl Guides Headquarters at Level Gardens, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.
An opening ceremony featuring officials from the Ministry of Education and members of the Association of Teachers of Foreign Languages will take place from 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, 20th October. There will be cultural performances depicting aspects of civilization of different countries from all continents. Culinary aspects will also be on display.
Embassies and consuls resident in St. Vincent have also been invited to mount displays. The first ever Foreign Languages Exhibition was held in 2007-under the theme âUnlocking a World of Possibilities through the learning of Foreign Languages.â
