Health Expo to provide Wellness tourism for Vincy Homecoming
In an effort to highlight Wellness Tourism, the team at Invest SVG, with the financial backing of the European Union, is organizing a Health & Wellness Expo aimed at identifying the various services and service providers operating in the sector. The Expo, which takes place on October 26th from 3:00 – 7:00 PM, will run several workshops covering various services in the field, and will have industry providers exhibiting their services to the general public.{{more}}
Holding a Health and Wellness Expo during Vincy Homecoming activities would not only showcase the local offerings but it would highlight the business and career opportunities within this sector. Services in the Health and Wellness sector range from hair and skin care, spas, gyms and general health to healthy eating, herbal remedies, alternative medicines, physiotherapy, acupuncture and reflexology, among others. It links agriculture and tourism together in new ways and offers opportunities for youth employment.
âThis Expo is not only for the general community, to make them aware of the wide range of services that are available to them, but it is also looking to inform established and potential service providers of the scope of the industry and of the range of potential support services for their various organizationsâ, says Invest SVG Marketing Officer, Tonya Fraser. âWe encourage those of you in the industry who have not yet heard about the Expo to contact us and register as an exhibitor or for inclusion in the brochure to be produced which will include a directory listing for the sector.â
The Expo, themed âHealthy Living for a Strong, Vibrant and Growing Communityâ utilizes the recently rebranded organisationâs strapline: Strong, Vibrant, Growing to highlight the aims of the sector in maintaining a healthy community of Vincentians.
