Already, three students are in possession of the popular brand name bags donated as fulfillment of Cash Express’ Back to School promise to make donations to students

annually in preparation for the new academic year.

Last Wednesday afternoon, 11-year-old Emily Edwards, who will be attending the St. Joseph’s Convent, Kingstown; four-year-old Fidel Samuel, who will be attending the Fairhall Government School; and Romario Robertson, 14, a third former at the St.Vincent Grammar School were presented with a JanSport bag each at Cash Express’s Halifax Street office. The students also received notebooks, exercise books, pens, and pencils.

Corinne Persaud, Cash Express’ Country Manager, said the programme was initiated in 2008, approximately nine months after the company started its operations in St.Vincent and the Grenadines. She promised that each year more students will be added to the programme.

Some students who will be presented with the bags and stationery this year were identified by persons from their various communities during a Cash Express radio call-in programme.

Persaud disclosed that Cash Express will also be extending its generosity to three charitable organizations.
