Savings and Investment graduation tomorrow
The Graduation ceremony of the fifth Savings and Investment course organized by the East Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB), the Eastern Caribbean Institute of Banking and Financial Services (ECIB & FS) and the University of the West Indies (UWI) will be held at Frenches House tomorrow at 7.00 p.m.{{more}}
The course, which commenced on Friday, May 8th, 2009, and ended on Friday, July 31st, 2009, included topics such as: Personal Financial Planning, Factors affecting Financial decisions, Development of a plan to reach financial goals, Types of investment instruments, How to protect oneâs self against financial risks, Types of financial markets, How securities are bought and sold, Regulation of financial markets, Factors that affect price, Developing and managing your investment portfolio, Facilitators were drawn from the banking and financial services sector and the public and private sectors.
Forty eight participants will graduate on Saturday, August 29th, 2009, making a total of 294 Vincentians who have graduated over the past two and a half years. They will join 1,300 graduates from the O.E.C.S
