FAIZE, the brainchild of the Youth Advocacy Movement, a section of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Planned Parenthood Association (SVGPPA), will showcase areas of interest to young persons, while educating and entertaining them in the process.
Youth Coordinator for the SVGPPA Bernadette Warren indicated that although the first issue of the magazine is currently in pre-production, young persons between the ages of 13 and 26 are invited to become contributors to future issues, or make themselves available if they have a talent or a topic to share.
Warren said that the magazine will include articles and topics contributed by adults.
Warren said that the magazine will be of a glossy type, with a maximum 36 pages, and will be issued monthly.
She said the magazineâs content will be catchy and hip and is guaranteed to hold the interest of its readers, young and old.
The Youth Advocacy Movement is a group that focuses on, among other things, providing sexual and reproductive health education for youth.
The movement is an international organization which Warren said is found in almost every country in the world.
She said that proceeds from the sale of the magazine will go towards the funding of the movementâs projects, including an upcoming health fair to be held in the near future.
Persons wishing to be a part of FAIZE magazine can get further information at the SVGPPA office situated at Frenches Gate.(JJ)
