The students, mainly from the Sion Hill Government School, were part of the three week event, which was held at the St. Vincent Technical College from July 13th to 31st.

The children were involved in arts and craft, games, singing and drawing, all surrounding the theme of the ancestors of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The programme, which was conducted by teachers and parents of the Sion Hill Government School, as well as facilitators, was described as one of the best to take place in the area since its inception six years ago.

The CAP programme targets children who are low achievers, come from an economically disadvantaged household, have behavioural problems or display low self-esteem and seeks to bring them up to speed with their peers in time for the new school term.

It is organized by the Ministry of National Mobilization in conjunction with the Ministry of Education.

The programme is held in 16 centres and includes 45 schools.
