Children learn backyard gardening, business at Vinsave Summer Camp
The National Development Foundation and the SVG Horticultural Society have shared their expertise with children in the Vinsave 2009 Summer Programme.{{more}}
Catilda James of the National Development Foundation spoke to the children about becoming entrepreneurs, while Michael Gloster of the SVG Horticultural Society explained the benefits of backyard gardening and demonstrated to the children how to plant their seedlings and to take care of them. The children will also hear from personnel from other agencies on Budgeting, Saving and Business Development.
Over 100 children are participating in the Summer Programme under the theme âDeveloping the Entrepreneurial Spirit for a Productive Societyâ.
The children are engaged in a number of activities, including arts and craft, nutrition, dance and drama, and will visit a number of recreational sights on the island.
