Her talent and efforts earned her the grand prize in the Alliance Francaise’s 40th anniversary art and poster competition. 14-year-old Bibby placed first in the secondary school category of the competition, which was organized as part of activities to celebrate the organization’s fortieth year in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The primary school category was won by Sylvain Schaedle of the Sugar Mill Academy, and the general public category by Shonette Bynoe, an art teacher at the St. Martin’s Secondary School.

Bibby’s grand prize was sponsored by the Alliance Francaise, with the airline ticket being supplied by Dr. Francois Truchot. Other prizes were supplied by the Youlou Art Movement and Ali Mejahed, President of the Alliance Francaise.

While in St. Lucia, from August 1st to 3rd, Bibby will be a guest of that country’s Alliance Francaise organization, and will be treated to a grand tour of the island.

Alliance Francaise will hold other celebrations when it marks its anniversary from November 9th to 13th this year.
