The winners, whose names were drawn and announced at the Soca Monarch Finals last Saturday at the Victoria Park, were presented with their cheques by NLA General Manager McGregor Sealy, at the authority’s headquarters at Paul’s Avenue.

Winning the grand prize of $15,000 was Orange Hill resident Camecia Byron, with Alexandriana Jean-Baptiste of Caratal, Georgetown taking the second prize of $10,000, while the third prize of $5,000 went to Isheba Slater of Buccament Bay.

The lucky winners’ names were selected from among thousands who took part in the promotion by combining two non-winning scratch cards with a lottery voucher.

The winners all indicated that they have ideas of what they would like to do with the cash, but have not yet decided.

Slater, whose father purchased the lottery and scratch tickets, said she hopes to purchase school supplies if she is accepted to the Community College, while Bryon and Jean-Baptiste indicated that the money may be banked until it is needed.

Product Development Officer of the NLA Anthony Dennie said that additional promotional ventures will be scheduled for Vincy Homecoming and Christmas.(JJ)
