A three-day seminar on treaty law and practice for CARICOM member states is expected to conclude here today.{{more}}
Starting on Wednesday, July 15th, representatives of the CARICOM territories in collaboration with officials from the United Nations met at the conference room of the National Insurances Services, where various aspects of domestic legislation, treaties and laws were scrutinized and discussed.
The discussions were facilitated by persons versed in the legal aspects of treaties.
At the end of todayâs session, participants are expected to be presented with certificates of participation.
The event was declared open by Attorney General of St. Vincent and the Grenadines Judith Jones Morgan, who asked that participants get familiar with the revised Treaty of Chaguaramas and know it well, given that CARICOM is about to embark on its revision.(JJ)
