Carnival Catwalk, hosted by Mijé Models, has proven to be St Vincent’s premier fashion show for the past 3 years and will again hold its rightful place when it stages its 4th show dubbed “Euphoria.” Event Production specialist Kofi Branch, who works as part of the production team, said that it can be seen from the cadre of designers that Carnival Catwalk is one of quality. Branch, who has worked with Barbados Fashion Week, Virgin Islands Fashion Week and Carifesta Ten in Guyana also said that it was a delight to promote the budding fashion industry in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The star-studded cast of designers will include St. Vincent’s Caribbean Fashion Awards Designer 2008 Kimon Baptiste and 2009 winner Kimya Glasgow as well as Tamiko Browne, Jeremy Payne, Karen De Freitas-Fraser and Merle Gellizeau who were part of a delegation who attended Miami Fashion Week.

Just back from Caribbean Fashion Week in Jamaica are the guest designers Cassandra Mottley, Andrea King, Kraig Yearwood and Shanika Burnett, all of Barbados, who have definitely made their mark on fashion spectrum back home and throughout the Caribbean Diaspora.

USA-based designers Celeste Johnny and Lem “Q” Danzell are also expected to rock the catwalk under the Euphoria theme while Andrew Harris, Guyana’s Young Designer of 2008 will present his all male collections.

Other designers for the show are Crystal Daniel and Alicia Simmons.

The catwalk is already burning up and rumour has it that there will also be some sizzling guest models from Barbados appearing alongside our local Mijé models at the show.

Managing Director of Mijé and executive producer of the show Jean Johnny-Findlay has indicated that the patrons will be treated to a top class production from the entrance to the exit and receive tokens compliments the show sponsors.

Tickets can be purchased from Mijé Models or Corea’s City Store.
