As part of the national day of prayer activities, a rally was held at Heritage Square by the National Day of Prayer Committee, but only a small group of persons turned out.
However, in attendance were several religious leaders, Prime Minister Dr.Ralph Gonsalves, Opposition Leader Arnhim Eustace, Ministers Girlyn Miguel and Selmon Walters, and Commissioner of Police Keith Miller.
The Prime Minister and the Opposition Leader were invited to the podium, as prayers were offered on their behalf.
Other prayer appeals were made for the state; national unity and reconciliation; the economy; repentance; thanksgiving; the schools; businesses; the police force; the family; crime, violence and immorality; and the media.
The event was held under the theme: âPrayers Go Up and Blessings Come Down.â (HN)
