CKDO signs MOU with SVGSIF
The Central Kingstown Development Organisation (CKDO) will sign two Memoranda of Understanding with the St.Vincent and the Grenadines Social Investment Fund (SVGSIF) on May 17.{{more}}
The signing will be done during the closing ceremony of the Social Investment Fund Central Kingstown/Sharpes Inter-village Soccer competition, which will be held at the Redemption Sharpes Playing Field.
The organisation will embark on two projects aimed at uplifting residents in the community.
The first project, the Sharpes Capacity Building project, will include the staging of evening classes for primary school students in grades 5 and 6, while the old community centre will be refurbished in the second undertaking called the âCommunity Centre redevelopment projectâ.
The SVGSIF will have an input of EC$100,000 and EC$250,000, respectively.
Speakers at the function include Member of Parliament for the Central Kingstown constituency, Honourable Conrad Sayers, and Chief Executive Officer of SVGSIF Bentley Browne. The activity begins at 5:30 in the evening.
Football matches will start at 3 in the afternoon.
