Last Friday at The Cell, Godfrey Samuel, a member of the House of Hope Society collected a Nokia 3500 Cellular phone valued at EC$585 and a cheque for the same amount (EC$585). The donation came from Shelford Cupid.

Cupid won The Cell’s Easter promotion dubbed ‘Easter Egg Hunt’. Persons were given a chance to pull an Easter egg from a bag when they purchased a phone or topped up EC$100 or more. The eggs pulled from the bag contained different prizes. Cupid pulled the main prize (Nokia 3500) and according to Manager of The Cell, Jacqui Martin, matched the prize with a monetary donation and instructed her to give it to the House of Hope Society.

Cupid told Martin that he uses Digicel’s service to call Europe and the Middle East when he is in St.Vincent on vacation.

Commenting on the donation, Samuel said that the organization appreciates the kind gesture. He added that the money will help with the House of Hope’s outreach programme where they provide assistance for persons suffering from HIV/AIDS.

Second place winner in the Easter Egg Hunt promotion Denisha Isaacs also collected her winnings last Friday. She won herself a gift basket valued at EC$200 compliments Joanne Horne and Secrets Boutique.

Isaacs said that she felt great, because it is the first time she has ever won anything, “in my life”. The prizes were handed over by Sales Associate Colette Pompey and Manager Jacqui Martin.
