7 lasses vie for Miss SVG Teen

Following the successes over the last five years of the annual Miss SVG Teen Model competition, Producer Angenella Young – Managing Director Le Andre Modelling Agency is again proud to be hosting the 6th Annual Miss SVG Teen & SVG Young and Upcoming Designer 2009 show.{{more}}

The participating schools and delegates are: Miss Bishops College – Fluer Blugh; Dr. J P Eustace Secondary – Zanique McMillan; Miss Emmanuel High – Alverna Peters; Miss George Stephens Secondary – Jaylana John; Miss Intermediate High School – Vanessa Williams; Miss Campden Park Secondary – Shanez Stephens; Miss Petit Bordel Secondary – Maria Lewis.

The delegates will participate in three categories: Promotional Speech, Cheerleading/Dance and Prom Wear.

This year, the Agency has introduced a Young and Upcoming Design competition to the show. The Creative Industry in St Vincent and the Grenadines is one of the sectors that is being focused on as an income generator for the country. However, since this is a non-traditional area, it needs developing and this development cannot be left only to the government. The objective therefore, of the SVG Young and Upcoming Design Competition is to discover and nurture new talents and new blood in the design industry while

provide young aspiring designers with an opportunity to showcase their talents.

Miss SVG Teen, which will be held on Saturday, 9th May 2009 at the Arnos Vale Sporting Complex has become a major showcase on the calendar of cultural events in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The show begins at 7:00 p.m. sharp.
