Children of Canouan Celebrate Earth Day
On Wednesday, April 22, 2009, the students of the Canouan Government School, Pelican School and Coral Reef Pre-School joined approximately one million school children in over one hundred and eighty countries in tree planting activities and other environmental activities at their schools to celebrate Earth Day.{{more}}
Spearheaded by the Landscaping Department of CCA Limited, the activities were organised to inspire awareness and appreciation among the children for the Earthâs environment. Ten Washingtonian Palms were planted at the Canouan Government School, forty-two Dwarf Allemandas were planted at the Pelican School and lettuce and chives were planted in the garden of the Coral Reef Pre-School.
