The money was paid out as part of two promotions, the loyalty scheme and the text WIN to 3444 for a chance to win EC$1000 campaign.

Winning EC$1000 each under the texting promotion were Advira Delpesche, Dekoda Dowers, Odinga Robinson, Joel Garraway, Sorronie Bruce and Marcelle Williams. Collecting EC$1000 each because of the loyalty scheme were Jimmy John, Nopparat Sawan-jang, Verlene Craig, Oodra Rampersaud, Alicia Kirby, Norbert Mofford, David Thomas, Jonall Pierre, Janelle Allen, Keisha Williams and Alison Rogers.

Both Dowers and Garraway who texted WIN to 3444 expressed their gratitude to Digicel. Garraway commented that the money “came at the right time and it will be put to good use, although I did not expect it”.

Loyalty scheme winner John also revealed that for him, “The money came at a right time, and I feel good to have won this money at a time like this”.

Marketing Manager Juno DeRoche explained the loyalty scheme as designed to reward customers. DeRoche said that numbers are chosen at random and called. Persons who answer are rewarded with EC$1,000. DeRoche revealed that eventually all pre-paid customers will be rewarded. The Marketing Manager also promised “more exciting promotions are on the way”.
