Two SEARCHLIGHT staff members were among 134 persons who were on Tuesday, March 10th, recognized with certificates for their successful participation in the National Information Communication Technology (ICT) Training Project.{{more}}

The ceremony, which was held at the Peace Memorial Hall in Kingstown, saw the recipients being lauded for their involvement in the eight-week training course, which took place at various educational institutions around the country.

Computer Technician / Paginator Adrian Shallow and Typist / Receptionist Lafeisha Lynch were among 23 persons who successfully completed the COMPTIA A+ course, while 37 others were certified in the Introduction to Computers course and 72 in the International Computer Driving license (ICDL) category.

A further 111 persons are to be recognized at a ceremony on date yet to be announced.

Last Tuesday’s ceremony heard addresses from Chairman of the project Andre Bailey, Project Manager Kyron Barker, Grantley Williams, Chairman of the National Advisory Forum, Albert Daniels of ICDL Caribbean and Minister of Telecommunications, Science Technology and Industry Jerrol Thompson.
