CASMAC to host fourth Workshop on HIV/AIDS

The Caspar/Maria Marshall Centre (CASMAC) will be holding the fourth in a series of Workshops on HIV and AIDS, during the period 19-24 March, 2009. The Theme of the Workshop is – “Valuing our Youth – Tomorrow’s Women and Men”, and will be held at the Campden Park Community Centre, commencing at 9.00 a.m.{{more}}

Participants in the Workshop are in the age group 15-25 years, and careful recruitment has taken place to ensure an equal number of young men and young women attend. Participants will engage in discussions around “The WHAT, HOW AND WHO OF AIDS” which will include: Assessing personal risks of becoming infected with HIV and other STIs; Advocacy against Stigma and Discrimination in relation to HIV and AIDS; Nutrition as a prevention and intervention Strategy against HIV and AIDS, and Self Esteem.

The Workshop is being implemented by the Caspar/Maria Marshall Centre (CASMAC) in collaboration with Youth Groups and Sports Organisations in the area, and is funded by the St. Vincent & The Grenadines HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control Project (SVGHAPCP).
