The Exhibition is just one of many events scheduled this month as part of National Heroes and Heritage Month.
The Exhibition, held at the Peace Memorial Hall, in Kingstown, began on Monday with an official launch, under the theme âAppreciating Our Identity- Preserving Our Heritage with prideâ.
According to Cultural Officer Anthony Theobalds, the Exhibition was held to raise awareness of this countryâs heritage, as depicted by the stamps, and instill a level of pride among Vincentians.
Held in collaboration with the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Philatelic Association, the displays feature this countryâs indigenous heritage, under the headings âUtensilsâ, âEndangered Speciesâ, âMedicinal Plantsâ, âFamous Sports Figuresâ and the âYear of the Elderlyâ, among other things.
National Heroes and Heritage Month continues with activities around St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Tomorrow, the African Heritage Foundation will host a film presentation at the University of the West Indies Open Campus in Kingstown.
