The Gold Award was given for a 12-page editorial on St. Vincent, published by Spring O’Brien in the November 2006 issue of Caribbean Travel & Life Magazine.

In an electronic letter sent to the Ministry by Chris Spring, the editorial was described as including “more than 15 captivating photos that brought to life the island’s age-old traditions, unchanged from times before mass tourism. Further, the expansive article highlighted St. Vincent’s diversity-active volcano, lush rainforests, hidden waterfalls, pristine waters and hearty cuisine – and underscored its divergence from the commercial Caribbean.”

Founded in 1957, the HSMAI Adrian Awards embrace every segment of the industry, including hotels, airlines, cruise lines, car rental companies, destinations, credit card companies and more.

The award resulted from Spring O’ Brien’s Public Relations initiatives with the Ministry of Tourism and was the fruit of their team working in cooperation with the Ministry’s Kingstown and New York offices.
