Dennie died on Thursday, January 29, after an attack and arson at his Fairbairne Pasture apartment in the early hours of the morning.

His wife Kenisha, who was also attacked, is currently in a Grenada hospital receiving medical attention.

The funeral took place at the packed to overflowing Kingstown Evangelical Church, where tents were placed in the yard to accommodate well-wishers.

Mourners turned up from around the region and beyond, with the funeral service being carried live on NICE Radio, where Dennie was employed, and also streamed live on the Internet.

Dominican Evangelist Peter Augustine was the guest speaker at the service, while Dennie’s uncle Lennox Dennie gave the Eulogy.

At the time of his death, apart from being one of the station’s technicians, Dennie was the host of the Saturday midday show, BDS Sound Splash. (JJ)
