A shroud of mystery hangs over the death of a 49-year-old mechanic of Sharpesdale, with family members and friends at a loss as to the reason for his tragic passing.{{more}}

Dead is David Gordon, originally from the Grenadine island of Bequia, and at the time of his death employed in Mustique.

Reports are that the married father of four was discovered by one of his sons.

Gordon, affectionately know as ‘Wally’, was described by close family members as a loving and caring husband and father who would spare nothing for his family and friends.

Gordon was not known to have enemies, which caused his mother Agnes Simmons to question the reason behind his death.

Simmons, who resides in Bequia, said that her son was a very friendly person, with a good heart, and who got along well with others.

Up to press time, police were still investigating the matter and funeral arrangements were being planned for Sunday in Bequia.(JJ)
