Lions Club South presents $500 cheque to fire victim
A fire victim who lost his home last year was presented with a cheque of $500 from the Lions Club South.{{more}}
At a handing over ceremony held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Conference Room, on Wednesday, January 29th, 2009, President of the club Bernard John handed over the cheque to Jerrol Pope on behalf of the club.
John said the club sympathizes with Pope and said the money is an âinterim reliefâ.
Pope, who lost his home in July last year, thanked the club for their generosity. He is currently seeking employment and is sending an âurgent response from anyone who is interested to help this familyâ.
His common- law-wife Camesia and daughter Notoria were also present at the brief ceremony.
Pope is from the Windward village of Diamonds.(VM)
