Students enroll in Early Childhood Education programme

Fifteen students began training in Early Childhood Education at the Vinsave Child Development Training Centre, Kingstown, on Monday, January 19.{{more}}

These students will also be writing the Level I National Council On Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NCTVET) Examination, Jamaica.

The students will be exposed to classroom activities, and will also be working with children at various daycare and pre-school centres thoughout St. Vincent and the Grenadines. They will be working with parents and will pay visits to a number of child development centres. They will also visit the homes of children with whom they work to lend support to parents and help them understand the needs of a child.

Two-thirds of students in the programme are presently employed with daycare and pre-school centres.
