Preschool gets LIME computer and Net

Lime, the only full service telecommunications provider in St Vincent and the Grenadines, again showed its generosity when the company answered a call from the Kingstown Evangelical Pre-School asking for a donation of a computer and free Internet access.{{more}}

Last Monday, January 5th, Sandra Matthews, Vice President, Human Resources, handed over the computer to Pastor Douglas Neverson, of the Kingstown Evangelical Church, who operates the pre-school.

On handing over the computer, Matthews commented: “This computer will benefit the students and teachers since we are in an information age, and LIME is at the forefront of making it easy for everyone to access information.”

On accepting the computer, Pastor Neverson indicated that a computer and Internet access will help to fulfill the mission of the pre-school. “The mandate of the church is to develop our children in a holistic way, providing for their physical, spiritual, educational and social needs. This computer will be of great benefit to the children, as this is the right age to introduce them to online activities geared towards stimulating their young minds through fun and games,” Pastor Neverson commented.

LIME was hosted in May 2008 by the Kingstown Evangelical Church when the company held their week of activities to celebrate Staff Appreciation Week.
