Methodists host 191st Conference
The Kingstown/Chateaubelair Circuit of the Methodist Church in St. Vincent and the Grenadines is hosting the 191st Conference of the Methodist Church in the South Caribbean District from January 14th to January 24th, 2009.{{more}}
This Conference, which convened under the leadership of the new District President, Rev. Cuthbert Edwards, brings together one hundred and thirty delegates from Barbados, St. Lucia, Grenada, Trinidad and Tobago and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The theme of this Conference is âHoly Spirit, Renew Your Church Continuallyâ.
A Flag raising ceremony will take place on the compound of the Methodist Church tomorrow, Saturday, 17th January, at 11.30am. There, the Conference Flag and those of participating countries will be hoisted.
On Sunday, 18th January, there will be a Procession of Witness through the streets of Kingstown commencing at 3.00pm, followed by a Welcome Service at the Kingstown Methodist Church, starting at 4.00pm.
At 7.00 p.m. on Wednesday, 21st January, an Ordination Service will take place at the Kingstown Methodist Church. Three persons, the Rev. Madet Mavoreâ; the Rev. Noreen Daley and the Rev. Philbert Delaney will be ordained to the Christian Ministry.
Morning Devotions will be held from Monday, 19th January, to Friday, 23rd, from 7.00 a.m. to 7.45 a.m.
