Annual recognition of UWI graduates ceremony

The UWI Open Campus, St.Vincent and the Grenadines, will hold its annual ‘Recognition of Graduates’ ceremony today, Friday, January 9, at 9:00am, at the Methodist Church Hall in Kingstown.{{more}}

To be recognized will be graduates of the UWI Distance Education programmes for the 2007- 2008 academic year who have done their programmes in St.Vincent and the Grenadines, graduates in the Executive Diploma programme of the Cave Hill School of Business, and graduates from Mona, St.Augustine and Cave Hill who were unable to attend graduation ceremonies at their respective campuses.

The proceedings will be under the control of the Principal of the Open Campus, Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Hazel Simmons-McDonald, and Dr. Lennox Bernard, Head of the UWI Open Campus in Trinidad and Tobago will be the feature speaker.

Guest artistes for the occasion are the Rhythmix Steel Orchestra, Reajhaun Baptiste on steel pan and the La Gracia Dancers.

The Valedictory address will be delivered by Desree Raymond who received first class honours in the Bachelor of Education Literacy Studies Programme.

The ceremony will start with a procession from the back of the Methodist Church along Higginson Street and on to Grenville Street and then to the Methodist Church Hall.
