Members of the Mas band personally delivered gift-wrapped toys to the hospitalized children on Christmas Eve.

“It is our aim to help bring a little joy to the children who could not be at home at this time when most children look forward to being with their families,” said Juanita Alexander of Ahdrenalin Mas.

Hospital Administrator Fitz Jones rendered his support along with the enthusiastic nursing staff. The children were very excited and enjoyed picking out their presents. Osborne Hamilton, who is undergoing a leg straightening procedure, and Rick Glasgow are two of the children who were at the hospital during the Christmas season.

Ahdrenalin Mas, the newest mas band on the scene, made what was deemed an auspicious debut in Carnival 2008. Since then, the band has been admitted as a member of the Carnival Bands Association, which now makes it eligible to be judged in competition. Ahdrenalin Mas, not one to rest on its laurels, began preparations for Vincy Mas 2009 right after last year’s Carnival. The band promises to deliver more fun, excellence and safety with its 2009 presentation “De Candy Shop”, as it continues to grow into a fervent contributor to both Carnival and the community in general.
